Description

The G E LIGHTING 45545 is a 5-watt directional LED bulb in an R20 reflector shape, designed to replace 45-watt incandescent lamps while delivering 450 lumens of soft white light at 2,700 Kelvin. It carries a medium base and a 35-degree beam angle, making it well suited for recessed cans, track heads, and directional fixtures where controlled light distribution matters. The bulb is fully dimmable and carries a rated life of 15,000 hours, equivalent to approximately 13.7 years of typical use. Licensed electricians and lighting installers are the primary trade professionals handling this type of retrofit. Sold in a package of six units.

This bulb is used in residential and light commercial settings where recessed or directional fixtures require an energy-efficient drop-in replacement for standard incandescent R20 lamps. Its high-definition output and 2,700K warm color temperature make it appropriate for living areas, hallways, kitchens, and retail display lighting. The dimmable driver is compatible with most standard leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmer switches, though dimmer compatibility should be verified prior to installation. The package quantity of six units supports both new construction rough-in and retrofit service calls efficiently.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified lighting technicians. Confirm the fixture is rated for enclosed or open operation as appropriate for the housing type. Verify dimmer switch compatibility before final installation to avoid flicker or reduced lamp life.
