Description
Face Plate – (Dark Gray) | SPX1084LDGR
The Hayward SPX1084LDGR Face Plate (Dark Gray) is an integral part of a Hayward wide-track skimmer system, its main function is to ensure a watertight seal around the skimmer opening where it connects to the pool wall.
- Sealing the Skimmer Opening The face plate is installed around the pool skimmer’s intake and is tightly screwed in place to secure the liner (for vinyl pools) or to maintain a solid connection in other pool types. This prevents water from leaking behind the pool wall.
- Directing Water Flow The face plate helps guide water from the pool into the skimmer. It ensures that water is effectively drawn in for filtration while keeping the skimmer firmly positioned.
- Protecting the Pool Liner In vinyl liner pools, the face plate holds the liner in place around the skimmer opening, preventing shifting or damage due to water pressure and suction.
- Enhancing Aesthetic Appeal The dark gray color blends well with certain pool designs, giving a sleek and polished look.
