Description

The HID GLOBAL CORPORATION 40NKS-T2-00K81H is the Signo 40 smart card reader, a compact access control credential reader designed for use in commercial and institutional security installations. Finished in black and silver, this unit reads smart card credentials using T2 smart card profile technology, making it suitable for modern card-based access control systems. It is typically installed by security integrators and low-voltage technicians as part of a broader access control deployment. The unit ships individually and is sold as a single piece.

The Signo 40 reader is intended for commercial access control applications where smart card credential reading is required. Its pigtail connection style supports integration with standard access control panels and controllers. The T2 smart card profile designation indicates compatibility with a specific credential profile tier, which should be verified against the end system and card stock in use before ordering. Installers working in corporate, government, or institutional environments will find this reader suited to standard door and entry point deployments.
