Before installing the replacement cover, inspect the lid O-ring seat on the pump housing for cracks or debris. A clean, undamaged seating surface is essential for the cover to hold a proper seal. If the pump lid O-ring shows any flattening, cracking, or distortion, replace it at the same time sourcing the correct O-ring for your pump model will prevent a return service call.
