The Hayward Pipe Plug (SPX1600V) is the OEM replacement pipe plug for Hayward Super Pump SP1600X series, Max-Flo SP2800X series, Power-Flo II, and Super II SP3000 series pool pumps.
What It Does
This pipe plug seals the drain port on compatible Hayward pump housings, maintaining a watertight closure during normal operation and allowing controlled drainage when the pump requires servicing or winterization.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
When reinstalling the pipe plug after winterization or service, hand-tighten first, then snug with a wrench over-torquing a plastic plug into a plastic pump housing can crack the housing threads. Inspect the plug’s sealing threads each season and replace at the first sign of cross-threading or deformation to prevent drip leaks at the drain port.
