Description
The Minwax 700494444 is an oil-based penetrating wood stain in a Honey tone, sold in a 1-quart container. It absorbs into wood fibers rather than sitting on the surface, which brings out the natural grain pattern and adds consistent color across the workpiece. This type of stain is used before applying a topcoat such as polyurethane or lacquer. It is appropriate for interior wood surfaces including furniture, cabinetry, trim, and flooring. Application is typically handled by finish carpenters, woodworkers, and general contractors, though experienced DIYers work with it routinely.
This stain is suited for interior residential and light commercial applications where raw or stripped wood needs color before a protective finish is applied. It works on hardwoods and softwoods alike, penetrating open grain to deliver uniform color. The 1-quart size is practical for smaller jobs, single pieces of furniture, trim runs, or touch-up work. It is part of the Minwax 272 color line in the Honey designation.
