Description

The Pentair Cam & Ramp Clamp (350090Z) is the OEM replacement clamp for the SuperFlo and SuperMax variable speed pump families, as well as SuperFlo single-speed and DOE pump models.

The Cam & Ramp clamp secures the strainer lid to the pump housing, maintaining a pressure-tight seal at the strainer pot. A failed or damaged clamp allows the lid to unseat under operating pressure, resulting in air entrainment, loss of prime, and potential flooding at the equipment pad. Replacing a worn or cracked clamp restores the positive mechanical lock that keeps the strainer pot sealed during normal pump operation.

Pro Tip

Inspect the clamp for hairline cracks or deformation at the cam mechanism stress fractures are often visible before the clamp fails completely. While the strainer pot is open for clamp replacement, check the strainer lid O-ring at the same time. Replacing both together eliminates the most common sources of air leaks at the strainer pot in a single service visit.
