Description
The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC607LFA is a lead-free brass sweat adapter designed to transition copper pipe to PEX tubing in potable water plumbing systems. The fitting features a 1/2 inch PEX barb on one end and a 1/2 inch male sweat (solder) connection on the other, allowing a plumber to join copper and PEX runs without specialty press tools. Connections are secured with stainless steel cinch clamps using a compatible cinch tool. The wetted surface contains less than 0.25 percent lead by weight, meeting both California AB1953 and Vermont VT S152 low-lead requirements. This package contains 12 adapters sold as a unit.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a technician needs to transition from an existing copper distribution system to a PEX branch or repair run. It is rated for continuous hot water recirculation service at up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, including systems that circulate chlorinated hot water. Installers working in jurisdictions requiring NSF 61 or NSF 14 compliance will find this fitting meets those standards as well as CSA B137.5. It conforms to SDR-9 dimensional standards per ASTM F-876 and ASTM F-877.

Compatibility
Designed for use with SDR-9 PEX tubing per ASTM F-876 and ASTM F-877 dimensional standards, connected via stainless steel cinch clamps using cinch tool TV 608-743. Suitable for potable water systems requiring NSF 14, NSF 61, and CSA B137.5 compliance.
Installation Notes
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off and depressurize the water supply before cutting into any existing copper line. The sweat end requires standard soldering technique per IPC guidelines clean and flux the copper pipe and fitting socket before applying heat. Slide the cinch clamp onto the PEX tubing before inserting the barb end, then position and crimp the clamp with the compatible cinch tool to complete the PEX side of the connection.
