Description
This is a Taylor Drop Test for Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) (Acid Base Titration) Test Kit. The K-1764 Kit tests for Total Dissolved Solids using a drop test system and acid-base titration method/chemistry.
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are usually high levels of phosphates and nitrates, which can consume chlorine and provide nutrients to algae. High TDS levels can also cause low-grade corrosion to metal pipes, ladders and lights in a pool, due to an adjuvant increase in the pool water conductivity. It is recommended that pool water be maintained at 1,200 ppm.
