Description
The VANCO SCAT6-1PU is a slim-profile Cat6 patch cable in a 1-foot length with a purple jacket. Designed for structured wiring installations, data centers, server racks, and AV equipment bays, this cable provides a Category 6 Ethernet connection while taking up less bend radius and panel space than standard-diameter patch cables. The slim jacket diameter makes it easier to manage cable runs in tight, high-density environments. Network technicians, low-voltage installers, and AV integrators use this type of cable to terminate equipment connections cleanly at patch panels, switches, and wall jacks.
The SCAT6-1PU is suited for short-run connections in residential and commercial structured wiring applications. Its 1-foot length targets rack-mounted equipment where switch-to-patch-panel jumpers must stay tidy. The purple color jacket supports color-coded cable management schemes, which are common in IT closets and data distribution frames. Any installation requiring Cat6 performance at minimal cable bulk benefits from the slim form factor.
Key Features
- Cat6 performance rating supports Gigabit Ethernet and high-bandwidth data applications
- Slim-profile jacket reduces cable bulk in high-density patch panel and rack environments
- 1-foot length ideal for short jumper runs between adjacent equipment
- Purple jacket enables color-coded cable management and quick visual identification
- Sold as a single unit for flexible quantity purchasing
Compatibility
Designed as an OEM-style patch cable for use with standard RJ45 Cat6 ports on switches, routers, patch panels, and network interface equipment.
Installation Notes
Low-voltage installers and network technicians typically install Cat6 patch cables. No special tools are required beyond standard cable management hardware. Follow TIA-568 and applicable NEC low-voltage wiring guidelines for structured cabling installations. Avoid sharp bends beyond the cable minimum bend radius to maintain signal integrity.
